About

Hello there! My name is Bill (Vasileios in Greek), I am a Scotland based Director of Photography, originally from Greece. I first fell in love with film at a young age, in the form of black and white Greek films and later on American and European cinema. Intrigued by what I was watching, I developed a passion for film and it’s inner makings and through that I discovered art and the work of photographers and painters, which I continue to draw upon in my work as a cinematographer.
After studying Cultural Technology and Communication in Greece and a Masters in Cinematography in Edinburgh, I went on to work in the UK and Europe in different kinds of projects and shot short films, music videos and documentaries for TV. Always keen to collaborate with bold, creative voices, and bring stories to life visually.
More recent credits include serving as 2nd Unit Director of Photography on the feature film Cafe 404(2024) as well as award winning short films. I am also part of the first cohort of the Sean Connery Talent Lab funded by NFTS Scotland in collaboration with the NFTS and the Sean Connery Foundation.
